Biography

André Yi received his B.F.A. at the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 and his M.F.A. at Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan in 1998. He has exhibited at Rena Bransten Gallery, San Francisco; White Columns, New York; and Galerie Schuster & Scheruman, Germany. His work is in such private collections as The Capital Group and Indy Mac Bank. This would be the first piece by the artist to enter SJMA’s collection.  (SJMA Collections Committee, 2006)
